Hot Forging Presses

Hydropress manufactures equipment for open forging, starting with a design solution, turnkey deliveries, individual equipment and ending with integrated forging complexes using the best solutions from world leaders such as SMS Meer, Siempelkamp, Shuler, ZDAS, Pahnke, Anyang, etc.

Forging presses of the Gefest-K03 series with a force of 800–3150 tf (8–31.5 MN) are manufactured with an upper drive.

Forging presses with a force of over 3150 tf (over 31.5 MN) are manufactured with a lower drive according to the technical specifications of the Customer.

Manufactured in four-column, four-column and two-column designs.

In a column press, the frame consists of two fixed crossbars: upper and lower, connected by four power columns into a rigid frame. In the four-column version of the frame, four columns are installed in the spacer between the lower and upper crossbars.

With the upper drive location, the power cylinder is fixed in the upper crossbar. Under the pressure of the working fluid, the cylinder plunger moves downwards and moves the movable crossbar with the upper striker fixed to it.

With the lower drive location, the supporting part of the press is the central crossbar installed at floor level or below.
The movable frame of the press is formed by the lower and upper crossbars and four (two) columns of round or rectangular cross-section. The frame moves along the guides of the central crossbar. The pressing force is provided by plunger-type power cylinders built into the central crossbar. The return stroke of the frame is provided by return cylinders.

Two types of hydraulic circuits are used in the Hydropress forging presses: a classic one with an individual pump (for small presses and low speeds) and a pump-accumulator one.

In the pump-accumulator scheme, the idle stroke is carried out by low-pressure liquid, which enters the cylinder and the press pipeline system from the filling tank through the filling valve. High liquid pressure is provided by a pump, which supplies it to the hydraulic accumulator through a pipeline. The liquid pressure in the hydraulic accumulator is maintained by compressed air supplied by the compressor through the air duct.

In the column design, the movable crosshead moves along cylindrical guide columns through bushings. In the frame four-column design, the movable crosshead moves along prismatic guides of the vertical posts.

The press is controlled by a programmable CNC system based on an Omron or Siemens controller. Control is carried out by servo valves and proportional valves, which ensures smooth operation of the press and shock-free return. Information about the state and operation of the press is displayed on the control panel in the form of indicators and messages on the operator panel.

All presses can be equipped with rail or wheel forging manipulators with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tons. Manipulators with a lifting capacity of over 100 tons are manufactured according to an individual project or supplied by third-party manufacturers. The complex can be equipped with a rotary lifting table and forging tooling kits.

The complex is controlled by one operator from a central control panel installed in a separate air-conditioned cabin.
